About Livette Johnson M.D.
Dr. Livette Johnson is an internal medicine doctor at Meharry Medical Group who specializes in HIV management and treatment of infectious diseases. She sees patients at the Meharry Community Wellness Center, which is located inside the Meharry Clinic building.
Dr. Johnson received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in 1988. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Md., and an Infectious Disease fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Medical Center at Cornell University in New York.
She is the daughter of Meharry legend, Dr. C.W. Johnson, Sr., who founded the School of Graduate Studies and Research at Meharry.
Before returning to Meharry in 2016, Dr. Johnson spent most of her medical career in New York working at Mount Sinai Hospital, St. Vincent Medical Center and Metropolitan Hospital Center.
