About Christopher M. White, M.D.
Dr. Christopher White is an internal medicine provider who specializes in Gastroenterology and Hepatology care at Meharry Medical Group. He is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Dr. White provides clinical services such as management of several different gastrointestinal and liver diseases, as well as performs both upper endoscopies and colonoscopies at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry. Dr. White is an Assistant Professor within the Division of Gastroenterology at Meharry Medical College, where he also provides teaching and mentoring to medical students and residents of The College.
Dr. White received his bachelor’s degree at The University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. He then went on to The University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, MS, where he received his medical degree. He completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, followed by completion of his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship training at The University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL. Dr. White also received a Master of Science in Public Health at The University of Alabama at Birmingham during his fellowship training.
Dr. White joined the staff of Meharry Medical Group in April 2020. He is a member of The American College of Gastroenterology and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
