About Veronica Mallett, M.D., MMM
Dr. Veronica Mallett is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Meharry Medical Group and sees patients at the Meharry Clinic. As a urogynecologist, Dr. Mallett is trained to diagnose and treat women with pelvic floor disorders. Her services include female pelvic medicine and pelvic reconstructive surgery. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She has authored nearly 100 articles, book chapters and abstracts.
Dr. Mallett earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Barnard College and received an M.D. from Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. She also holds a master’s degree in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Fluent in English and medical Spanish, Dr. Mallett has worked to better the health of the Hispanic people. Dr. Mallett has held various leadership roles throughout her career.
Before coming to Meharry, she served as a founding chair and professor with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. She is also former Dean and Senior Vice President for Health Affairs at Meharry Medical College.
